Hi I'm K.J.

I grew up in Washington state. I am the one of the youngest in my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school graduate. I enjoy singing, acting, playing sports (which includes snowboarding, swimming, basketball), hanging and chatting with friends, and going out for nights of bowling, dinner, and dancing. I am currently waiting to apply for college, but for now I work at Jamba Juice. I'm glad to say I recently gained a wonderful girlfriend in my life and enjoy the time I spend with her (even if it's over the web cam), and a big family that I love spending the holidays with because we all bring something to the table.

Why I am a Mormon

I became Mormon when I was a freshmen in high school. My mom and I previously were Catholic, and she raised me since day one on her own (not counting the time at daycare). After years, she meet a retired Navy man who happened to be Mormon. It was weird at first, but my mom listening to his testimony and the missionaries, and got baptized. Soon enough, I was being visited by the missionaries, taking their lessons. I had a few bumps in life and faith baptism, because I still had many questions, but in the end I'm glad I join the church, because I can't imagine where I would be today without it. My testimony has grown stronger over the years and it has encouraged me to have higher morals and better family relationships, as well as gaining a testimony that the Book of Mormon is true, and That by the power of God, Joseph Smith did become a prophet of God, restoring the true church at was lost in the Great Apostasy. God has a prophet today as well, and the proof is all around us, we just need to desire for it.

How I live my faith

How I live in my faith is by serving others and doing my part as a member of the family. I try to be an example to the young kids and I'm currently preparing to leave for my mission in February 2011, but for now I am a ward missionary, trying to bring inactive or interested people to activities, church, and classes, where they can learn more about the church and how Mormons are just like everyone else in the world. I live the way I live being I know the Book of Mormon is true, and another testament of Jesus Christ that goes "hand-in-hand" with the Bible.

What is faith?

K.J.
Faith has always been described to me as "knowing something is real, even without seeing is physically." I usually tell those who are interested in faith that "you know ________ existed because of records. The same concept is with the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ, because there is proof of the truth." Show more Show less
