Hi I'm Jim

I'm a U.S. Sailor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been in the Navy for over 2 years. I watch and play sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a non-denominational Christian home. My first introduction to the Church was when I was in bootcamp. At that time I came to know that the Church was true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. However, through extenuating circumstances I was unable to be baptized. From the time I left bootcamp however, I never did anything with what I knew. It wasn't until I married my wife who was, at the time, a semi-active member of the Church, that I began to feel that I needed to do something. I approached my wife, telling that I wanted to be baptized and become of member. It took a week for missionaries to visit my family in our home. I then had lengthy discussion with and was baptized the next day. That was one of the best days of my life and I haven't looked back since. I continue to learn about the Church and discover that the Lord has a way for everyone to come into his Kingdom and I am thankful for that. I have changed in so many ways and my life has improved from it. The Book of Mormon is a true book and I welcome everyone to read to find out for themselves. I see the blessings of the Gospel in many ways of life. I am thankful for them and will continue to walk in obedience to Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

As of right now I have no callings due to the fact that I am a relatively new member and that I do deploy. I do however have the authority to bless and pass the sacrament.
