Hi I'm Arlene

I have lived in Utah all my life, but have traveled a great deal. I love life, I love my family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a small country town; I know how to work! I have a degree in Russian Language and have taught high school/distance learning, for 10 years. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of 3. I cherish my husband and family above all else, except God and the Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from Mormon pioneer stock and am proud of it, so does my husband. My parents were/are not active in the Church, but have given me a solid ground in good behavior. At a young age I was drawn to the little church up the dirt road, even though there were only boys in my Primary class. As I grew older, I could not stay away from Church. It is part of me and my testimony continued to grow of the truthfulness of this work. I have always known that Christ is real, that He lives. I have always known that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus himself, and that He guides this church. I believe this knowledge has been a gift to me. The more I keep the commandments, the more I KNOW that this is the true church on the Earth.

How I live my faith

Much of my life is consumed by taking care of family and doing temple work and fulfilling my callings in the church. I study Church history, scriptures and other gospel writings on a daily basis. I pray daily and some days most fervently for family members who are struggling. I believe that Heavenly Father indeed does answer prayers, comforts, guides and edified if we ask. I have served in many, many callings in my life, and loved every one of them--it has been a privilege, not a sacrifice, to spend the many hundreds of hours in serving. I especially love Visiting Teaching. We have come to love each other and the sisters we visit. It has been a choice blessing for me.
