Hi I'm James

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm a doctor, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have two boys (ages 4 and 3) who I love spending time with. I have been married for seven years to the best woman I've ever known. I currently own a specialty sports medicine practice where I use an integrative medicine approach. While I love my work I would much rather be home with my family and I take every opportunity I can to spend time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents both joined the LDS church while they were in college and if it weren't for them I might never have been exposed to the church. Despite being raised as a Mormon I had my doubts as I was growing up. Towards the end of high school I decided that I needed to find out for myself if the church was true. For me that started with just starting to pray again. It was hard to do at first and it took me a long time to start praying regularly, but I felt God's love for me and I also felt that I was doing the right thing as I tried to change my life. Over the years I have had many experiences that have helped me to know that this is Christ's church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith means trusting in Christ to make up for my shortcomings. I'm not perfect, but I know that Christ still expects me to be the best person I can be. Because I know I'm not perfect, I don't expect anyone else to be perfect either. I try to accept other people for who they are and hope they do the same for me.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

James
We believe in our Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. We also believe that it is only through Jesus Christ that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. We also believe that Christ wants us to treat others the way he would treat them if he were on the earth right now. Show more Show less
