Hi I'm Louis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the father of a wonderful daugher and son. I've been happily married to my wife for more than 6 years. I studied computer Animation in college and have since taught myself to program in C++ and Python.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism for me has always been an extremely positive influence in my life. The more I live it the more often I see its guiding force leading me towards more constructive experiences. I was born into the church but was not completely convinced to live it until the age of 15. I prayed earnestly to overcome some serious personal problems. I received an overwhelming feeling of love and reassurance. Since then I've spent many years studying the Bible and the Book of Mormon and other literature of the church. I feel it's an extremely vibrant faith, with so much to offer. It has taught me that through the Great Mediator, justice, mercy, and love endure. That we has human beings are inherently good. We have the capacity, through self sacrifice and forgiveness, to change things for the better.

How I live my faith

I served a mission for 2 years in Guadalajara Mexico. Currently I'm serving as ward clerk.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

I believe one of the great purposes of this life is to create a family. It has added strength to our marriage to know that we will be together not only now but beyond this life as well. Our commitment to each other is not temporal or fleeting. Show more Show less

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Mormonism essentially is a discipline. It is paramount to Mormon belief that individuals be disciples of Jesus Christ and follow his guidance. Christ's way of guiding his disciples, when unable to do so himself, has always been through prophets and apostles. We believe our ultimate destiny is to overcome death both spiritual and physical through the great sacrifices Christ has made. To follow in Christ's footsteps requires discipline in love, sacrifice and forgiveness. Show more Show less

There are many things we believe we must accomplish in this life. We believe that we need to strengthen family ties and create families of our own. This is a time to prepare to meet God. What is faith?

On one level faith might be explained as the motivation behind all that we do. We motivate ourselves based on what we rely on to be true and false. It is like the goal we set for ourselves to achieve happiness. Unfortunately many place there faith in things which are unsustainable, and ultimately lead to sadness and pain. True faith that leads to lasting happiness is inspired by God. It is reinforced through revelations from God and study. It is why scripture study and prayer is so important. Through scripture study you renew the desires to commit to the goals you have set to follow Christ. Through prayer you communicate directly with God about those commitments. Thereby receiving the necessary inspiration to stay on the path that leads to true happiness. Show more Show less
