Hi I'm Gayle

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church as a teen, and my life was changed forever!

About Me

I am a mom of a great daughter, she is my delight! I work part time in a dental office and have been there for most of the last 30 years. I love to read, cook, scrapbook and when the opportunity presents itself, travel. I also love movies, mostly musicals, comedies and all kinds of music from country to classical.

Why I am a Mormon

What first brought me to check out our religion was the strong family values. I didn't realy have that in my home growing up and I saw that in my LDS friends. When I first began going to church I felt the spirit so strongly and I wanted to know more about having that feeling all the time. When I first read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it, the spirit bore strong testimony to me it is true. I am so gratful for that knowledge, it has sustained me through many trials.

How I live my faith

I am busy in our church, for most of my time in church I have had the privilege of teaching children ages 3 to 11, teaching them church songs and then teaching sunday school lessons one year to 11 year olds then to 10 year olds. I love to teach children, they are always earger to learn. I currently work with the women in our church, we have meetings to learn to do many different things, cooking, baking, learning to be organized, how to paint, garden, do household repairs, so many things I have learned trhough the years with the other ladies in our church. I enjoy learning from each of them. Everyone has their own strengths and talents and we share them with each other. When my daughter was in school, I helped in her classroom every week, it helped me to know what was happening in her class and with her teachers, but I also go to know her friends and their parents. I continued and worked on the PTA in school and then in high school her choir parent board. I have enjoyed being close to my daughter and her friends, my husband and I have enjoyed many school trips with her and her choir over the years. When she is home from college, they still come and hang out at our home. We both love when they are here, they bring a great spirit with them, they are fun, good, bright young people.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The purpose in life is for us to gain our bodies, to grow in faith and knowledge and be able to one day return to live with our Heavenly Father, together with our families. Show more Show less
