Hi I'm Junius

I love my family!

About Me

I love my wife of 20 years and we have five children. I love to golf and spend time with my family. I'm a professional educator and love to teach.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have always been a member of this church, I had to learn for myself that this is the Savior's Church, so as a teenager, I prayed and the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and mind that this really is His Church. In fact, I spent two years as a missionary in Ecuador to share the message that Jesus reestablished His Church in 1830. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ I have experienced profound peace and happiness. I know that this is the church of Jesus Christ today. I know that through the power of the priesthood--God's power He gives to men on the earth-- my family and I will be together forever. I also know that God speaks to a prophet today just as He spoke to the prophets and apostles in the Bible. I know that, in answer to his prayer, Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ in the spring of 1820 and was a prophet of God. Most importantly, I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and that I can only be saved through His loving grace. Without Him and His Atonement --His suffering for my personal sins and resurrection that makes possible my resurrection from the dead-- I would not be able to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in my community and in the church. I serve on a committee responsible for improving the community. I also participated in the school district's long-term strategic planning. At church I have worked with teenagers and adults as a teacher and lay leader. I also visit members of my congregation each month to encourage and help them.
