Hi I'm Sydney B.

I'm an event planner working from home, wife to a busy med student and living in our "little home town" Chicago. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an event planner based out of Chicago, IL. My cute husband and I moved to the big city so he could start Medical School. I spend my days working while he studies. We enjoy taking advantage of any free time we have together and exploring the new big city we call home. I work as an event planner and love to see things come together bits at a time. I love just standing back during events and seeing all the people talking, networking and laughing together. I also love interior design and hope to one day work in the design world. I spend any of my free time rearranging our little apartment, watching HGTV, and thinking of new design boards. Helping others create beautiful spaces is what brings me the most joy. I spent 4 months in Jerusalem on a study aboard. I was able to walk where the Savior walked and experience some of the same things he experienced. These short four months changed my life for the better. I got to better understand different peoples, cultures and religions as well. Over the past two years my husband I have have been trying to start our family. Things haven't worked out as we expected but we push forward in faith. After two miscarriages we are still praying daily for our little miracle to come. We look forward to the day when we will get to be parents. I love to laugh and find the most joy being surrounded by good friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know, through personal experiences, that following my Heavenly Fathers commandments brings me the most happiness. My testimony is dear to my heart. It defines me and what I do in this life. I know that I was sent here to this earth for a purpose and I intend to fulfill that purpose to the best of my abilities. I'm not perfect but through the atoning sacrifice of my Savior I can repent of my sins and be better. Because of His gospel I can and am married to my best friend for all time and eternity. It is such a blessings knowing that I can be with my cute husband and family forever. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for all he has given me. Being a member of His church has provided me with the strength and courage to pass through the hardest times of my life. That is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do. Sometimes for me, just getting out of bed is living my faith. Dealing with infertility and miscarriage has proven to be a big trial. I struggle seeing those close to me starting their families and having children. Along with that the emotional and physical hurt and pain of infertility and miscarriage can be excruciating. But, during my darkest hours, those moments of pain, agony, and hurt I have felt my Savior's love for me. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me and my sweet husband. I know that I will one day be a mother. I know that I am loved and that I am never alone. In those quiet moments, when the tears fall, I know. I live my faith by waking up each day, by doing my best to be happy and find all the beautiful joys in this life. We put our faith in our Heavenly Father and push forward with our dreams. I am able to serve in my ward and in my community and love sharing my faith with those around me. I strive to help lift and support others who have similar struggles. I live my faith by sharing my hope and joy for our future. I live my faith by choosing happiness each and every day.
