Hi I'm Julia

I'm a bookworm, a big sister, a missionary, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

To understand me, is to understand my family. My family is the center of my life. Everything about me always relates back to something about my family. Even my name, as I am named after a great-grandmother. My family has taught me how to read (I read a LOT), how to love, the importance of school, enjoying nature, how to work hard, and appreciate music. While there are a lot of things that I personally dislike (like running for instance), I will voluntarily put up with a lot more for my family than I would for myself. If it was just me, I would live in a library, reading books all day, live off of desserts and fruit, and would only leave to read a book outside for a change. However, I realize now, that would get boring. I am so glad now for my mom's encouragement to practice the piano, for the stories and "inventions" that came out of my siblings and my imaginations, for the friends that I have and the adventures that we've had, and for all of the other seemingly little things that have helped to round me out.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is my inspiration. Yes, I have been raised a Mormon, but seeing by parents sincere love of the Savior and his gospel sparked a desire in me to find out why. So, I did the things that they said that they did: Pray, read the scriptures (both bible and book of Mormon), go to church, live the commandments, and always trust in my Father in Heaven. Over time, I have recognized the blessings and answers from the spirit, and the faith that has grown as I have received these answers has only grown as I have shared them with others, especially my younger siblings. I am a Mormon because I followed righteous examples, and I hope to be a righteous example to others too.

How I live my faith

Right now I express my faith by doing what God has asked us to do, live his commandments, pray, go to church, study the scriptures, and love one another. I also fulfill any callings or assignments in the church that I have been given, and my calling right now is to be a missionary in the Indiana Indianapolis mission. I love being able to spend each and every day visibly showing my faith by serving others while wearing Christ's name, and teaching what that means to me, and what it can mean to them.
