Hi I'm Heather

I strive to live by the words of President Gordon B. Hinckley "Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six children. They range from age 14 to 6. We have four daughters and two sons. I enjoy crochet, camping, walking, and reading. However, my reading level is still Dr. Seuss or the nursery rhymes. As our children get older my reading level does too. I love spending time with my family. We watch movies, play games and put puzzles together. We can be found around town riding bikes in a single file line. It is quite a site. Some people count train cars but when we are riding our bikes the towns people count bikes!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have come to know for myself it is the fullness of the gospel of my God. Through the principles of this gospel, I know the Savior personally. Through prayer and scripture study I have learned his words and feel of his spirit. The Book of Mormon continues to give me increased knowledge and abiding love for my Savior. I know that he came to earth as the babe in Bethlehem, as a child he taught the scribes and Pharisees, and in his ministry he performed miracles. Then as his final act of divine love he gave his life that I might live again. Through the atonement of the Savior I can be forgiven of my sins, healed from sorrow and return to dwell with my Heavenly Father. I know that my Redeemer Lives!

How I live my faith

I keep an abiding faith in my Savior by doing the simple things. Each day I say morning and evening prayer and commun with a loving Heavily Father. I tell him my worries, my joys, and ask for divine help with life’s situations. I also express my gratitude for all the blessing that I receive at His hands. I have come to know that rendering service for others brings peace and joy into my heart and helps me feel the spirit of the Savior. - Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.- Matt. 25:40
