Hi I'm Carolyn

I grew up in Utah. I have four nieces and nephews. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single adult who moved back home and is pursuing an advanced degree in elementary education. I enjoy creative writing and working on my comic in my free time. I have four amazing nieces and nephews who I love to visit, and I have awesome siblings, too.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and felt the peace in my home from my parents living the restored gospel. I got a testimony of the Book of Mormon when I read it and it felt familiar - like I had read the chapters before, even though I know we hadn't gone over all of them in Primary classes. The rest of my testimony has come over time from praying, attending church, asking questions, listening, and continuing to exercise faith in Jesus Christ and have it be confirmed by the Holy Ghost and experiences. I know Heavenly Father is there and He is listening and I know He works with me to accomplish His plan for my life.

How I live my faith

I get to spend two hours each Sunday playing with 18 month to 3 year old children while their parents attend their church classes. As part of that, I race toy cars around a track, sing hymns with enthusiasm, and direct these little ones in how to assemble puzzles.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism by immersion by the proper authority is an essential ordinance in following Jesus Christ. If people don't have the opportunity to get baptized by Priesthood authority in this life, we can do proxy baptisms for them so they have the ordinance completed and they can choose to accept or reject it.
