Hi I'm Gloria

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife to an awesome man and we had the blessing of being sealed in the Holy Temple recently. Learning, knowing and applying principles from the Gospel have sweetened my life entirely. I'm the only member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in my family. I live in Mexico, I'm 25 years old and I'm a graphic designer.

Why I am a Mormon

When I came back from Utah, I just had this big desire of talking to the missionaries, I only wanted to know the Church, but never get baptized. I thought I wasn't ready for that. How was I supposed to tell my family I was getting baptized in other Church rather than the one I was raised in? Something happened. Missionaries kept coming over the house and teaching me the basic principles of the Gospel. I was so happy everytime they appeared at my door. When they were there I could feel the Spirit all over the house. Few weeks later I decided I should get baptized, no matter what. I had no doubt about it, the teachings of the missionaries made me reflect about how our Heavenly Father had let me have trials, and blessings during my life. I felt like I was being so ungrateful to him. I have always wanted to do things right and just before I knew the Gospel, I felt "happy", I was okay, but I never ever thought I could be even happier. I had hard times thinking the way i should let my parents and brothers know that i was getting baptized soon. I was frightened of their reaction, but fortunately they seem to understand i needed to progress spiritually

How I live my faith

I'm a Primary teacher on sundays, in other words, i teach 8 to 11 year old kids the principles of the Gospel by reading the Scriptures, performing creative activities so it is easier for them to understand what we learn. Every sunday is a different topic. I try so hard everyday to do my best by living the principles, not only to others, but to myself. There are plenty of opportunities to share with others the Gospel, not only by words but by actions.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Of course Mormons believe in equalty! We all are children of our Heavenly Father. Women have totally different roles in life than men. The Lord sees us in a different way than we do. Show more Show less
