Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a runner. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a small-town girl who loves travel and the outdoors. My current favorite outdoor hobby is geocaching. I'm passionate about my kids, running, and my handsome husband. I wish I could sew. And do backflips. And fly.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born a member of the Church, I believe I continually choose to be a Mormon because I cannot deny the existence or love of God and Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost has reaffirmed to me the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the prophets. Whenever I have doubted, I always go back to these basic truths and know that if they are true, then the Church is true, and my faith and testimony are always strengthened.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do what Church leaders teach. I try to read the scriptures daily and I pray often. I teach my kids about Jesus and about people from the scriptures. I love teaching the 3- and 4-year-old children at church on Sunday; my testimony is strengthened by their tiny testimonies and their purity. I try to think regularly about Jesus Christ and what He wants me to do and who He wants me to become.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe that the Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead: God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. While God and Jesus Christ have bodies of flesh and blood, the Holy Ghost is a person of spirit so he can communicate with our spirits and witness all truth to us. Show more Show less
