Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in the USA, I have 4 wonderful daughters and a beautiful wife, a testimony that Jesus Christ lives, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a husband and father of 4 daughters, love to travel, read and cook. I work for a wireless telephone company, Atlantic Tele-Network, as Director of Roaming Operations (I make sure your phone can roam :-), and have traveled the world meeting people from all over. I have a degree in International Relations with a minor in Latin American studies. I love the Latin American people and speaking to them in their native language. I've grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and am the youngest of 7 children (spoiled yes, and know it :-) I had a great childhood and wonderful parents. Knowing that we can be together as a family is wonderful as I know that death is not the end, only part of the journey. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes all the difference in that it provides a stability in this ever changing world. I don't know what my life would be without it.

Why I am a Mormon

It took me a while to realize what being a Mormon was about. Even though I grew up in the church, I had to still find out for myself that this church was true. It wasn't until I served a mission that I found my own testimony of reading the scriptures, praying, fasting and pondering. I realized Heavenly Father knew I was here, Jesus Christ died for me, and that His gospel was restored upon this earth. It wasn't an easy process, there were ups and downs, but persistence and faith helped to come to the facts. I went from a "belief" to an actual knowledge of these things. Knowledge is stronger than belief, it stays with you, doesn't move, it consistent. I know that Jesus Christ lives, that this is His church restored to the earth, I know that the scriptures are true, and I know that I can live with my family forever. I love knowing, not just believing!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example, and people notice. They realize that I don't smoke, drink or have other addictions. I serve in the church by visiting others in our ward or community, by helping in our congregation as an executive secretary to our leaders, and by just being friendly and putting on a smile. People notice.
