Hi I'm Kim

I love to create. I like to spend my time outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Montana and I served a mission in Sao Paulo Brazil. I am married to a wonderful hardworking husband and we have two adorable children. I received a degree in recreation management and my husband is in school to become an elementary teacher and eventually a principal. My husband roofs during the summer and goes to school fulltime during the winter. I have a blog and etsy where I sell my awesome crocheted things and cute little girl headbands. I love my simple life as it is now and I am excited for it to grow and change as the years pass.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was baptized when I was a young child, so I have been Mormon most of my life. For a long time I went to church because my parents and friends did. I tried to do the right thing because I knew I would get in trouble if I didn't. When I moved away from home to go to college, I realized I couldn't depend so much on my parents. They weren't going to be by my side forever, so I started to look to the only other person I knew I could count on whenever I needed, the Savior. I started to learn for myself what the gospel was all about and how I was a part of it. I am so grateful for prayer and for the Holy Ghost. I know Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us. He wants us to return to live with Him. He gave us everything we need to follow His plan, including scriptures, prophets, the Holy Ghost, and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was sent to earth to give all of us the opportunity to follow him and live forever with our families. I know Jesus is the Christ and he died for us so we can repent and strive each day to follow his example and be better. I know the true church was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith and that we have a living prophet today who tells us all we need to know to live a happy life now and forever. I know the Book of Mormon and the Bible will help us learn more of our Savior, to get to know him personally. I know this is the only true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I had the opportunity to serve a mission for the church in Brazil a few years ago. While I was there I was able to teach people about the restored gospel and the blessings Heavenly Father has given to His children. My husband and I are now attending school and growing a family. We are doing our best to teach our children who they are and what their potential is as children of a loving Heavenly Father. We are active in church and love to meet new people and have them over to discuss the gospel.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

God loves all of His children and wants them all to have the opportunity to return to live with Him. He made that possible through baptism and baptism for the dead. Not all people get the chance to be baptized by someone with the correct authority while they are here on the earth. God created proxy baptisms to allow those people a chance to return to Him.
