Hi I'm Celeste

I love to learn new skills, enjoy nature, and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to a wonderful daughter and son. I have always loved working with children, so I pursued a teaching career. I am Montessori trained for ages 3 - 12. I have enjoyed working with children of all different ages and abilities. I am always amazed at what children can accomplish and their true potential. One thing that has always impressed me is their natural desire to know God. Even pre-school age children seem to be naturally interested in knowing answers to the "big questions."

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that is not why I am Mormon. At some point everyone must make their own decision about faith and religion. When I was in high school I went through some hard times and felt very alone. One day I was praying. I told God how alone and sad I was feeling. A wonderful, powerful feeling came over me. It was as if God were wrapping his arms around me and telling me that he knew me and loved me, and that I was his daughter. That is when I truly became a Mormon and knew for myself that God lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

I am just like any normal person trying to do my best and live a happy fulfilling life. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes my life complete. It gives me the assurance that there is more to this life than daily struggles. It gives me hope that the work I do in my family can endure forever. It also gives me a set of standards that guide me in everyday decisions.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We are pretty much like everyone else. We love our families. We enjoy spending time with friends. We face everyday challenges and trials just like anyone else. Most people notice that we are helpful and friendly. This is because we are guided by a set of ideals or standards that affect our actions, such as honesty, hard work, and being kind like Jesus.
