Hi I'm Patti Pitcher Timmins

I love being a member of the most true church that is lead by a prophet, seer, and revelator.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California. I love Volleyball, skiing (both water and snow), can't snowboard but my teenage son is amazing in the half pipe. I sew and quilt but don't really cook much (I'm working on that). I have 5 kids-the youngest 2 are twins who were born when I was 39!! Life is good for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Latter-Day Saint/Mormon. Not all of my siblings are living the gospel these days. But I know they have a belief in God. My father passed away when I was pregnant with my first child. I miss my father but through the plan of salvation that I have been taught since my childhood, I know that I will be with him again. I am sealed to my earthly family and this keeps me on the right path. I have had struggles in my life (divorce, single mom, work, stress) but I have always been able to turn to my Savior for comfort. Had I not been raised a Mormon, I wouldn't be the person that I am today.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is my way of life. Last year as the leader in our woman's organization I helped those in need and visited with women who were struggling with a heavy burden. This year I am playing games, singing songs and having fun eating crackers in the nursery with the children ages 18months to 4 years old. I have the privilege of introducing these small children to some of the most basic principles of our Savior's church. (4 years later) I have since served as a Young Women's leader over the 13 and 14 years old girls and as primary music leader. Now I am serving as a Sunday School teacher and a sports director for the YW of our stake.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Patti Pitcher Timmins
Prophets have been called by God since the beginning of time. Men are called into leadership positions starting at a young age so that they can learn about serving others. Our Heavenly Father knows each of us and he knows what is in our hearts. God chooses who will lead our church. Show more Show less
