Hi I'm Bryan

I love World War Two History, Modern Visual Culture, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I became very interested in World War Two history at an early age, and the more books i read about the era the more heroes I found. Today I'm sort of a freelance WW2 reenactor. I love getting dressed up and sharing the history of my heroes whenever i get the chance. I also enjoy movies and video games, but I'm very picky about what I watch and play. I've never been a big fan of the popular blockbusters. I instead look for those things that cause the viewer to ask questions of themselves and rethink the way they see things, pull at their emotions or teach an interesting Truth about the way the world works. on the other hand, if i find it to be simply beautiful, it gets an instant spot on my favorites list. when i get bored with my movies and video games, I'll turn to classic literature or poetry, which i enjoy just as much. All in all, I like to read in between the lines a lot, look for those hidden meanings in things that open up your eyes to things like how life, emotion, knowledge, and understanding make a difference in how people decide to live and enjoy their time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon faith my mother being a convert and my father's heritage in the church leading back to the days of the westward pioneers. Growing up, I quickly understood that the Holy Spirit's role as a member of the Godhead was to bring peace, love, and understanding into our home. As I strove to follow Christ's example of kindness and charity, I recognised the great feeling of love from my Father in Heaven and my Savior that came to me through the Holy Spirit. I grew up in the South, right in the bible belt, and I had many different friends in many different religions. we all lived our lives very differently according to our beliefs, and everyone always knew that my moral beliefs were the strictest. Sometimes, I'd lessen my morals while around my friends, to enjoy the activities they would, but in participating in the activities the World today deems as "acceptable", I found that the wonderful feelings from the Spirit of God that I always found in my home and with my family would leave me. It was only by obedience to the Gospel of Christ that I have found in the Mormon faith that I am able to feel that fullness of the spirit that I found in my home.

How I live my faith

I try to live as an example. I've lived my life striving to follow the wonderful example that Christ has given us, and in turn, share his light with the world. And I love it! The closer I've followed the Commandments of God and the more I listen to the counsel of His chosen Prophets and Apostles, the better I've been able to understand the wonderful world I live in, and the reason God has given us this world in which to live. Christ is the greatest teacher I've had in my life, and i learn more and more as i continue to live His Gospel.
