Hi I'm Cory

this is my little family I am Canadian, I'm a Teacher and a Coach ... and I am Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada. While working in California over the summer I met my wife. After finishing my BSc/BEd in Alberta, Canada my wife and I have settled in Small Town California, where I teach and coach volleyball. I served a mission for the church in Paris, France for two years. As a souvenir of France I have a small dog, named Beau, seen above. Feel free to read more and see why I have chosen mormonism as the way in which I lead my life. Dig deeper into my profile to find how I live as a Mormon and how it has influenced my life and development as a husband and future father.

Why I am a Mormon

Not only do the teachings of the Mormon church inspire me to be a better person, but they are true. Every aspect of my life that I have directed towards the teachings of the church has improved. The reason is the church teaches simple truths about healthy family-oriented, Christ directed living. If this is what you seek, I can tell you that it is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that I have found it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in all aspects of my life. I am not always successful. But when I am I know that the improvement is noteworthy. I am currently serving the church in my community as a Bishop, the leader of the church congregation in our area. I enjoy helping the members of our community and church be inspired to improve their lives and relationships with others, especially their families. This service is a fundamental part of being a Mormon. All members are given callings in the church. No matter how big or small their contributions to help others are, they grow because of their time spent serving. This is why I love working in the church and how I am able to live my faith.
