Hi I'm Curtis

I grew up in Southern Utah, I'm a diabetic and sport junkie, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Southern Utah, and I love every sport from football to basketball, you name it. When I was 15 I was diagnosed as a type 1 or type A diabetic. I love playing board games, video games, and just hanging out with friends. I love messing with computers, playing football & basketball, I'm a four square fanatic(ya know the game we use to play when we were in elementary), I went to college for a year so I'm over the awkward freshman stage now, and I just love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my religion gives me hope. When I was first diagnosed as a diabetic, I was an immature 15 year old, who just had fun and lived in the moment. But after that I couldn't just do whatever I wanted. I couldn't really eat whenever and whatever I wanted anymore, I had to watch how long I exercised or played football, and at times I could get really silly or plain cranky. Being a Mormon has helped me with my diabetes. Others have shown me love, and understanding. It's also helped me by showing me that obedience reaps rewards. By living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I have seen how it has blessed my life. In agreement to how I've eaten right, exercised regularly, and have checked my blood sugar to control my diabetes. Being a Mormon has helped me overcome the trials I've faced both mentally, emotionally, and physically with being a diabetic and has turn a pretty nasty ailment into something that is just day to day easy living for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by playing the paino, whenever there is an activity that requires a piano, I'm there playing it. I also organize youth activities and organize events for my church; such as family nights, service days, and talking with everyone and everyone seeing if they need anything at all. Also right now I ahve the blessing and opportunity to serve a 2 year mission to help others come closer to Jesus Christ and feel the happiness that He can put into their lives.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?
