Hi I'm Giulia

I grew up in Italy, I am an historian, a mother, a wife, a lover of good food and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to swim, to run, to play the guitar and music in general, especially Italian pop. I am a citizen of the world and I enjoy learning new languages and meeting people from all over. In doing so I learn how alike we all are. I love to cook. Great and lasting memories are made around the kitchen or dining room table. When life gets stressful, I go out for a walk! Everything eventually works out. Sometimes we just need some fresh air.

Why I am a Mormon

I was almost 17 years old when I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. It was back in Italy. I have felt the change in my life since receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I know Christ knows us personally. I find comfort and hope and joy in his teachings. I am a mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and it is another Testament of Jesus Christ. His Church on earth today is an anchor in my life. This is a Gospel of hope, I believe there will always be hope in this world. Families can be together forever. This doctrine gives me so much peace.

How I live my faith

We are the Saviors' hands and tools. He can make us useful and helpful according to our desires. I live my faith knowing it is a privilege not only a responsibility to be witnesses of Christ wherever we are.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

My heart tells me. The nature. Family life. The experiences I have had and I sought in my life which I hold sacred. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

This is a christian principle and ordinance. Death is not the end of life. These people live and are given a chance now to recieve the saving ordinance of baptism. It is a simple belief and a simple truth. Baptism is essential in God's plan as we learn in the Bilbe and no one can enter His Kingdom without having been baptized by those in authority before God. What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is a law of health that helps us live a healthy life. Our body is a Temple where the Spirit of the Lord can dwell. We can better serve those around us when we are physically in good health. We avoid substances that can harm us, we stay away from tobacco and alcohol and other drugs. We are encouraged to be wise in the nutritional choices we make, eating fruits and vegetables and grains. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

It does not. The Church encourages us to abide by the law of the place we live in. We can also pray for whoever is charge with political responsibilities.   Show more Show less

What is a ward/stake/branch?

These are units of the Church. Depending on where you live, there will be Ward/Branch boundaries, there will be a Bishop or Branch President presiding and serving in your area and blessing the lives of many. Many Wards make a Stake (again it is a geographical unit). Many branches make a District. It is so nice to have this structure in the Church. Wherever you live you will have the support of a Ward family or a Branch family. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

We are called Mormons simply because we accept the Book of Mormon as another witness of Jesus Christ, along with the Bible. Mormon was an ancient Prophet and historian who compiled an account of an ancient civilization who lived in the american continent. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon into the English language and today this book is translated in dozens of other languages. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

The growth of the Church is attributed to me by the fact that more and more people are seeking for answers in such a troubled world. The Savior has all the answers and this is His Church. Show more Show less
