Hi I'm Perry

I love singing and acting on stage with my wonderful wife and six great kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is a vital part of my and our family's life. We are singing all the time. We also enjoy acting with the local community theater. I am an avid Scouter and love the BSA program. I've taught fifth grade for over 20 years where I especially enjoy teaching U.S. History and Art. Our family camping, hiking and swimming together in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ provides the anchor we need in this turbulent world. As a member of our Savior's church, I know my purpose for being on this earth, and I am provided the strength to succeed and have happiness in this life. Through my study of His word and through His spirit, I have the peace of knowing that He is in charge of my life as long as I allow Him that. Because of His atonement, I know that my wrongs can be made right. Through His priesthood, my family is mine forever.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the "New Scout" patrol in our congregation. I also teach the ten-year old boys in Sunday School. I've been working with young men in the BSA program for over 15 years and hope to be at it for many more. My family and I also sing in the ward choir.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Perry
That's simple. We believe in the Bible because it is the word of God. It is a testament of the Lord, Jesus Christ and witnesses of His teachings, His crucifixion and suffering for our sins, and His glorious resurrection. It helps us understand that Christ's gospel has always been on the earth, and that since Adam, He has always directed His people in how to live this life and how to return to Him. It also helps us understand the need for prophets and priesthood authority today. Show more Show less
