Hi I'm Parker

I live in Seoul, Korea. I love the outdoors, books, being a joke, and Korean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and I'm the oldest of 4 boys. I went to a semester of college but now I'm taking a break from all of that good stuff and serving as a full time missionary in Korea. It's awesome. I love well, lots of stuff. soccer, piano, guitar, snowboarding, reading, music, writing, hiking, watching movies, volleyball, and all kinds of games with my friends. I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life for a job, but it's my dream to be a writer. I also kind of want to do something with Korean. It's probably the most difficult thing I've every learned/am currently learning. I am that kid who was zoned out everyday in your math class. I love having fun and recently I've been learning how to have fun while working hard something I thought was impossible for most of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have learned for myself that it it the true, restored church. This Gospel is extremely important to me and every good thing that I am is because of it. I was born into this Church, but I still had to find out if it was true or not. I've had a lot of powerful spiritual experiences in my life, but the main reason I know this is true is because I am happy when I live according to the standards and commandments that my Heavenly Father has given me. As I have made a daily habit of reading the Scriptures and praying, I've felt a peace in my life that I didn't know before. Also as a missionary, I've seen many others have similar experiences in their own lives, which has strengthened me and brought even more joy.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a full time missionary serving in Seoul, Korea. This is something that is a duty for young men of the church, but is also completely voluntary. I wanted to become a missionary to share the happiness that I've found from this Gospel with everyone, and I love this opportunity. It will only last for two years, so I have to work my hardest, every single day. As a missionary, I testify about this wonderful message and then invite people to learn more about it. So basically, I spend everyday finding people that are willing to learn, and then teaching them.
