Hi I'm Larry

I'm a Mormon. I love knowing that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

About Me

I grew up in a small town and now live in a large metropolitan area. I love to sing and have spent many hours singing in choirs and practicing with family and friends to share musical presentations. I am a husband, a dad and a grandpa. I love spending time with my family and my wonderful wife. I work with computers and enjoy reading. I can milk a cow and ride a horse. I love to hike in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon church from the time I was a child. My parents were strong members who lived in a rural area where making a living was often very hard. Their faith in Jesus Christ always sustained them. I learned to love Jesus Christ and feel His love as a child. When I was in my early twenties I had the blessing of teaching about Jesus Christ to people in Asia. I learned to appreciate the faith of many different people. This association gave me a clearer understanding of the magnificient restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Today I find great peace in following the teachings of Jesus Christ and helping others understand His marvelous gifts to all mankind. I have studied the Book of Mormon several times and find the examples of faith from the great men and women in this record strengthen me every time I read their stories. Living apostles and prophets give me direction and purpose to life today. I am so thankful for clear direction regarding difficult issues in our time. I am striving to be in harmony with eternal principles which will bring lasting happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

I try to live every day being true to the knowledge I have that life didn't begin with birth and does not end with death. I truly feel that every human being is a son or daughter of heavenly parents. I strive to treat each person with kindness and respect. Of course I am not perfect, but I feel that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has shown us how to become perfect. I want to follow His example and become the very best person I can through daily prayers, scripture study and service to others. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ shows us the path to lasting happiness. I attend my worship services every Sunday and serve in any way I can.
