Hi I'm Megan

I'm an Idaho girl, a finance guru, and a stay -at -home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a degree in Finance and Economics. I eventually married a wonderfully supportive man and became a stay-at-home mom, working very rarely as a loan officer from home. Four children later, I still love being a homemaker - baking bread, canning, and teaching my kids the importance of hard work. I use my education on our family budget, planning for our future and teaching my children the importance of planning wisely with their money. I love to learn new things, we have a craft room where all sorts of crafting and creativity happens. I love to sew and make fun things for my kids such as Halloween costumes, ties, dresses, and modest swimsuits. My kids have helped stuff animals so we could donate them to a local woman's shelter. I love to scrapbook for my young kids so they will have a journal through the years they are too young to keep their own.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was a small child I have always known that Jesus Christ was my Savior. As I have grown older and understood the atonement, I understand my role in His plan and the love He has for me and for others. That understanding gives me purpose in how I live my life. I remember reading about Joseph Smith and having this overwhelming feeling that he was called of God to be a prophet and restore the Gospel to the Earth and that feeling comes each time that I read about him. I always receive peace from my Father in Heaven and he always answers my prayers. I have been blessed in many ways by following our prophet and reading my scriptures. I am always so grateful to have extra help and as a mom it is essential for me to have the extra help.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to realize unknown talents such as teaching, speaking in public, but one of my favorites is working with the young children. I am the pianist for the children during their singing time. We get to teach them of Christ, being kind to others, scriptures stories in a fun way and they learn skills such as memorization, being reverent, participation in group activities. I love the friendships and charity that develops from coming to know the women I visit and that visit me each month. It strengthens my understanding of the atonement and how it applies to each one of us. I cherish the opportunity to teach my own children of Jesus Christ and of their worth - that they are each a child of God and He loves them. We share stories from the scriptures, pray together as a family, and try to recognize His hand in each of our family members lives consistently.
