Hi I'm Becky

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of a wonderful little girl. I graduated college with a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies. I love to bake cookies and pies, but I still need work on my cakes and brownies. I enjoy flying kites, and riding in convertibles on sunny fall days. I love trying new recipes, and tasting new foods. I love time with friends and family, playing games, and laughing an evening away. I like good movies, books, and art. I love helping others, and find any chance I can to make life better for those I come in contact with.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel makes sense to me. There are so many questions out there that my friends have asked over the years, and they have struggled to understand, but the answers are so clear to me through what I know. Knowing who I am, where I am going, and where I come from give me comfort and strength in a world that is full of uncertainty.

How I live my faith

We learn how Christ showed love to those around him by serving others. Since I want to be like him I try to find ways to serve others. I visit a few ladies in the area, bringing them a short message and usually a treat (cookies are my favorite to take.) We are encouraged to keep a Journal, so each night I write about my day and important things in my life. Hopefully, someday my daughter will get a good laugh, and maybe learn something about her mom that she never knew. I try to think about how I would live my life if Christ walked with me each day, and I act accordingly. I am far from perfect, but I do all I can to do better each day.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

For me, the simple things in life help me know there is a God: a beautiful sunset, a baby's laugh, the grandness of mountains and the simple patterns on a frosty leaf. It's getting an answer to a prayer for something as small as asking where to find my keys. It's feeling the urge to give somebody a call, and finding out they really needed somebody to talk to. God is there, and is a big part of each day, we just have to be able to recognize His hand in our lives. Show more Show less
