Hi I'm Kimberly

I am a wife, a mother, a homemaker and an avid reader. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since I have been able to be a stay at home through my married life, I have been able to volunteer for many years. I love to volunteer at my son's school and at our public library. I have shared my love of good books, particularly the classics with children and adults through book clubs I have led. I am great at baking bread and I took up running last year. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. I love researching my family history and learning about my ancestors. I serve on our Boy Scout troop's committee. I can't sing or play a musical instrument but I love music and all my children are musicians. I grew up in the suburbs but now I love being a small town girl. I am very happily married; my husband and I have 3 boys and girl.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church when I was 12 years old. My best friend and her family were Latter-Day Saints. I began attending the weekly activities for children with my friend when I was about 7. Later I began attending Sunday services regularly, also. Whenever I was in my friend's home, I felt happy. I wanted the happy family life I saw in my friend's home. My parents were not interested in learning about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but they allowed me to attend and then to take the missionary discussions and eventually to be baptized. I can remember praying to know if the Book of Mormon was true and receiving a good feeling. Having the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life has changed the course of my life and given me more happiness than I could have imagined.

How I live my faith

My family is very involved in serving at church. For nine years I have kept the records for our ward's Scout Troop. During that time I have also worked as a leader for the 12 - 18 year old young women and for the young children at church. I have been assigned to go with another woman to visit various women in my ward since I became an adult. I love this opportunity to get to know the women at church better and serve them as they need it. I also spend time every day in personal prayer, writing in a personal journal and studying the Book of Mormon. My husband and I attend the temple at least once a month to learn more about the Gospel.
