Hi I'm Patti

I'm a native Californian, a mother of 5, a holistic health practitioner, a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother of 10. My husband and I have been married for 45 years. I'm a holistic health practitioner and massage therapist, and also help out with our family company, Vurtego, that manufactures extreme sports pogo sticks. I love to travel and enjoy life to the fullest.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at the age of 16. I had friends who were Mormon, and when I started attending the youth activities, I recognized that that there was something special and different, kind of a light about their countenances, in these people. I had attended church with several Protestant denominations, but the LDS church really felt like home to me. I love having a living Prophet and being a part of a church that is organized just as Jesus Christ originally organized it.

How I live my faith

Most of my church service revolves around music. I conduct the choir for my congregation, and also play the organ each week. In addition, I coordinate music events and music training for about 10 congregations in my area. I also serve in the Temple each week as a volunteer for about 6 hours, and I visit several women in my congregation each month.

What is being a Mormon like?

Patti
It's like being a member of a large, connected family. I can go to church anywhere in the world and feel at home. If I become ill, I know I can count on service from members of my church. There are many ways I can contribute by teaching, participating in music, and serving others in various ways. Being a Mormon is a wonderful way to provide service to others. Show more Show less
