Hi I'm Katheryn

I'm a Mormon. And most importantly, I am a wife and a mother.

About Me

Have you ever met the average person? Well, that would be me. Average intelligence. Average looks. Average personality. Married. 2.4 kids (I count my youngest as only .4 because he is really tiny) Living in suburbia. Average home. Average income. Average. Average. Average. Etcetera. Etcetera. Etcetera. But no matter my averageness, I still count myself as quite unique. Why? Because I know that my Heavenly Father knows me and could easily pick me out of a line-up of my average peers. I know that I am a daughter of God and with that knowledge comes peace, happiness, strength, and hope.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of how much hope the beliefs taught by our church brings into my life. I lost both my father and my grandmother this past year. Without the belief in eternal families and the knowledge that I will see them again, I don't think that I would have been able to make it through last year. Each time I look at my sweet children or hold hands with my husband, I am again reminded of how grateful I am to know of the sealing power of the Temple and to know that my family ties will not end at death, but will continue on past the grave. I know my Savior lives and has conquered death.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Never perfectly, not always gratefully, and sometimes quite grudingly. But no matter my attitude for the day, I always know when I have passed a day in the service of those around me, whether they be my husband, my children, my neighbors, or my fellow church goers that on those days I can feel my Heavenly Fathers love in return and it makes every inconvenience of living my faith completely worth it.
