Hi I'm Cliff

I'm a fan of Japan. I'm a redhead. And yep, I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am serving a 2-year mission near San Jose, California. I grew up in Wisconsin and have spent most of my life there, with a little stint in Japan to top things off. I'm a big fan of anything computer-related, but it's been well worth it to give up videogames for a couple years in order to serve the Lord full-time! I joined the Church in Nov of '07. It was a decision that has brought to me unparalleled blessings. The joy found in it is for everyone!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I've sought Truth for a long time, and found the Church where it is dispensed from the Source. I didn't grow up in the Church, but I was raised to follow good principles. In high school I found a friend who shared those morals. He was LDS. Our friendship grew and I've always respected his beliefs. At 22, I was graduated from college and teaching in Japan. I finally decided to learn more about his faith, and when the missionaries started teaching me, I found something I had been wanting for a long time. I listened and studied with an open heart, and what I was taught made sense and fit together well. Some things were confusing, but there is an explanation for everything. I prayed to God and asked Him if I should join the Church. You can see I received my answer ;)

How I live my faith

I live it by obedience! The Lord gives some pretty plain commandments in the scriptures and I strive to follow them. After my baptism I felt the Lord really telling me to go on a mission. haha I fought against that one for awhile! But the idea grew on me, and a year or so after, I couldn't be convinced otherwise. I'm now joyfully serving Him and do all I can to spread the Gospel. I strive now to live my faith by following the small promptings of the Holy Ghost each day. When I obey the Spirit, people are blessed. I want to be a blessing in the lives of others, and doing the Lord's will is the best way I can do that.
