Hi I'm Steven

I grew up in Utah, I love to build things, I am Engaged to be Married, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am from a little town in Utah called Springdale. It is the gateway town right outside of Zion National Park. I recently returned from serving a two year mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Nova Scotia, Canada. During the past two years I have had the wonderful opportunity to bear my witness that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and that he has reached out and has restored the fullness of His gospel once again on the earth. I have had the great opportunity to be able to see how the restored gospel of Jesus Christ changes others lives, and brings them the peace and happiness that we all seek in life! As I've returned home from my mission, I've gotten back into the swing of what life has to offer. I have started attending Dixie State College, I have met the woman of my dreams and I am engaged to be married to her on January 13th.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since birth. Both of my Parents are members of the church and had a strong understanding that the gospel would bless our family. I went to all the church meetings as I grew up, and as I grew I learned more and more about the truthfulness of what I was taught. As I neared the age of 17 I realized that I had a desire to know for a surety that everything I had been taught was true, I remember that is when I took my study of the restored gospel seriously. I took up the promise of the Book of Mormon, which promises that if anyone will take the time to read from the book, ponder the message it contains, sincerely want to know if it is true, and ask God in the name of Jesus Christ if the book is true, they will receive an answer from God through the Holy Ghost that it is true. I took that course and received my witness that the Book of Mormon is the evidence that God has given us to know that his church is once again back on the earth in it's fullness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by stiving to be the best person I can be, we go to church on Sundays, read from our scriptures daily and pray regularly so that we can become the best people we can be. So each and everyday, I get to go about my daily activities and represent Jesus Christ. I serve as a Ward Missionary, in my local congregation, so I have the wonderful oppurtunity to work with others who are looking for Christ and want to better themselves!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Steven
Our Heavenly Father knew that it would be a bold claim to say that there are prophets once again on the earth so he has prepared a way that each and everyone of us can know of a surety that it is true. Jesus Christ himself warned "Beware of False Prophets for they shall come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly be ravening wolves... Ye shall know them by their fruits." In line with what Jesus Christ taught provided with the message of Mormonism is the fruit of which Jesus prophesied about, and it is called the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and the Evidence that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is a book with a promise, the promise is that if we will Read from the Book of Mormon, Ponder the message it contains, and sincerely want to know if it is true, and Ask God the Eternal Father in the name of Jesus Christ if the book is true, that by the Power of the Holy Ghost God will let us know that it is true! It is a simple test and works every time as long as we meet the requirements! More about the promise can be found on the Introduction page of the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
