Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. Played Lacrosse, made videos, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent the first 18 years of my life in Charlotte North Carolina. I grew up there and attended a high school with only about 6 other Latter Day Saints that attended. I played Lacrosse, a sport thats very popular on the east coast. I made the decision to begin editing videos while in High School. I made commercials for local businesses, highlight films for sports teams, and short films for my school classes. I attend College in Utah, majoring in Film, and was called to serve a 2 year mission in Los Angeles, California. I currently am a student, doing what I can do be a good person. Live a good life, and bring happiness to those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the Joy it brings into my life. Knowing what we know, and living how we live is the reason we mormons are simply so happy all the time. I do everything I can to help others around me live happier lives. To leave every person I talk to happier than I found them. A simple smile can make someones day that much better. Being mormon has defined my life. It made me special. It set me apart. I learned how to live a healthy, happy life, and how to help others do the same, simply by being a Mormon. One of my brothers was born mentally handicapped. He lived that way under careful care from my mother until I was 16. He was 26 when he passed away. Movies tell us that losing a loved one, and a family member is the saddest thing that can ever happen to people. But thanks to my faith in Jesus Christ, and the wonderful happiness and knowledge that came from being a Mormon. My family was able to handle the passing of my brother in strides, learning what we needed too, and having the absolute peace of mind of knowing that we would see him again. That he would no longer be in pain, and would be able to rejoice with us. After that, that's what made my Faith so important. That's Why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of the most incredible things in the Mormon faith is the missionary program. Young 19 year old men take 2 years out of their life to go serve the lord, in a place that they're completely unfamiliar with. I am one of those young men. I signed up to serve the lord. For two years, I've been asked to serve in Los Angeles, California. Helping the people there learn what I've learned. Starting at 6:30 AM everday I have a day completely focused around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And I do my best to help others learn more about that same gospel. As I teach and present people with the opportunity to come closer to their savior, it brings greater happiness into my own life. I feel like one of the purposes of life is for us to be happy. Think about some of the greatest, most important, most memorable events in your life. Most of them probably were things that made you pretty happy. Wedding days, entering school, picking a profession, a child.. things that bring us joy. I live my faith in a way that helps myself, and others be happy. Why would anyone want to live a religion that tears others down, or doesn't promote the happiness of all people.
