Hi I'm Chris

I believe in being happy through positive thinking. My dream is to be the best Dad ever. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Alaska and spent most of my time either snowboarding or dancing, or spending time with family. I love to dance! I believe it's a way for me to communicate what I feel inside. My Mom, little sister and I joined the Church when I was 15. I have two older sisters and my Dad who aren't members of the Church. We have a happy family and I look forward to raising my own happy family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has brought me the most help, showed me how to get the most of my life, and made me a better person. Through my life I believed in God but wasn't sure of my relationship with God. I was raised Catholic but didn't really understand what it was we were doing or how it was supposed to help me. Some experiences in my life led me to ask more sincerely about my relation to God and what my life meant. I experienced depression because I didn't see a purpose to my life and thought it worthless. It was a close call in a car wreck and the death of someone I knew that caused me to search further. One night in late December 2004 I was coming home with a friend. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and we hit some black ice on the highway. We slowly spun around until we hit the side of the road and rolled a few times. Miraculously neither of us were hurt and walked away from the car. That night I felt I should figure out why I was alive. A couple months later a young man passed away in a hockey game, he was a Mormon, and a really good person. I looked up to him and figured I would find out what made him who he was. My neighbors were also Mormons and often they would send the missionaries to our home. My parents would always treat them well but told them not to preach. I decided it was time to listen to the missionaries. After our first visit I knew that what they were telling me was true and decided to be baptized. My life has been happier ever since and I know I have worth has a human being.

How I live my faith

I believe in the power of optimism especially in our thinking. I try hard to keep any bad thoughts and I like to think of good things constantly. I served a 2 year mission teaching others about Jesus Christ and His teachings in Wisconsin to help others live happier lives through the things I've experienced. I go to church each Sunday and while there I like to talk with other people who seem lonely or unhappy.
