Hi I'm Waiaka

I once lived in a Tree House. I love Sci-fi Fantasy. It would be my pleasure to write you a song and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There's nothing I love more than my family! Coming from an artistic home, I was always supported in exploring the arts. The guitar would probably have to be my weapon of choice. Writing songs that cause others to dance, smile, laugh, or feel uplifted brings me a great amount of joy. However, just as much as I love music, I love the outdoors. I feel that camping, hiking, and exploring the wild are a must. Being out in nature always reminds me of how much God loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the Joy it has brought into my life. Without the full teachings of Jesus Christ, I wouldn't know where or who I would be. Being Mormon allows me to see my potential as a person in this life as well as the life to come. The sky's the Limit! I didn't always know this Church and Gospel were true. Like anyone else, I had to trust and believe in the testimonies of others at first. After all, the people sharing their testimonies and experiences with me seemed cheerful, honest, and happy. I wanted this for myself! I was told if I wanted to know, all I had to do was read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. I was promised that I would receive an answer if I truly desired to know. That invitation to read and pray has changed my life forever! After reading only a few pages of the Book of Mormon, I prayed and asked God to know it was true. It was by the power of the Holy Ghost that I received an answer that it was. I could not deny the feelings of peace and comfort felt within my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith with a smile on my face and a skip in my step. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message of happiness and joy. What that means to me is that it's not enough to do Gospel things, but I must become the very Gospel itself. I strive each day to fill my life with joy, happiness, service, charity, kindness and love towards my fellow man. I believe this is how I can best emulate Christ himself. I believe those are the things he would do. I live my faith excitement and enthusiasm. Life is good. God is good.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being Mormon is a party! It truly is fun and exciting for the individual as well as the family. There is something for everyone. From the toddler to the grandfather, the Gospel is presented in a way that learning takes place in a engaging manner. I love how I am able to learn how to come closer to Christ in clear, concise, and creative ways. There is never a dull moment. Being Mormon is a party! Show more Show less
