Hi I'm Diane

I have lived in Utah most all of my life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was eight (8) years old. My membership is a precious gift. I'm so thankful for my testimony of Jesus Christ, His words, His life, His example, His Church, and His Atonement. I'm grateful for the teachings of my parents and their examples and encouragement to live the Gospel.i I have lived in Utah for all of my 62 years except for two (2) years in Madrid, Spain at Torrejon AFB. I am a single mother of five (5) children and to date, four (4) grandchildren. I got divorced many years ago and consequently I had to work outside of the home. I was able to obtain an awesome job with the Air Force which helped me obtain a Bachelors Degree as well as a Masters Degree in Business with an emphasis in Aviation. In addition, I had many opportunities for Domestic travel as well as International travel to perform my duties as a Contracting Officer. The years have gone by so fast and now I find myself retired from the Air Force and working for Delta Airlines. Delta Airlines has given me the benefit of traveling all over the world. I love my job with Delta. When I complete my employment with Delta, I plan on doing some missions or a service calling at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I need the blessings of the Temple and the direction in the scriptures and direction of prophets/apostles to help me get through this life. Also, I love the Savior and want to see Him and be with Him again and my Heavenly Father. The covenants in the Temple promise me that I will have power to have association with my children forever. Christ is the only way for me. I totally believe in things as they really are and really will be. The Church is true, The Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith is a prophet, and Christ lives and is our Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my beliefs by praying every day to my Father in Heaven and thanking him for so many blessings, opportunities, health and safety. Also, to ask for the power and comfort of the Holy Ghost. I always have a prayer in my heart to be prompted to know how to help others and to live my own life. It can be a challenge to deal with others with their travel plans and disruptions at the SLC International Airport. I try to read the scriptures daily to continue my learning, growth and testimony. I am involved in music by leading the songs for our women's organization in the Church and playing the organ on Sundays for Sacrament meetings. I always want to partake of the Sacrament every Sunday which helps me to remember the Savior as I want his spirit to be with me always. I enjoy singing in the Ward Choir and I go visiting teaching every month. It is not hard for me to live my faith.....it is a wonderful blessing. I love my life, this learning and testing we are all going through. I know it is essential for the next phase, which I hope and pray will be eternal life.
