Hi I'm Kyle

I'm a basic athlete, a simple musician, a future scientist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played Football growing up. I learned to play the saxophone. I used to spend a lot of time video gaming. I am from Draper, Utah. I currently am living in Australia. I want to go to University in the future and study Science.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I believed in it and attended regularly. During my late teens I started to dislike church. I would still go but I didn't want to be there and I wouldn't read the scriptures or pray. I was on a football team, I played the saxophone, and was doing well in studies. All of these seemingly exciting things could not fill the hole I felt inside. As I did them I felt as though I hungered for more and couldn't satisfy the hunger. I decided to become a missionary by following the footsteps of my older brother. As I began my missionary service I was introduced to many view points of the scriptures and I began to be confused. The way that people present their beliefs makes them all sound true. One night as I was laying in bed a question came to my mind. "What if you arise after dying and find that you were in the wrong church?" I began to fear for my soul, and started searching. I read pamphlets from other churches and was diligently praying, and asking God to reveal to me the truth, I was also feasting upon the Book of Mormon to see if God would reveal the truth of it unto me. I would spend nights praying and saying I wouldn’t fall asleep till I received an answer from God. I did this for about two weeks, while still going with my missionary companion to teach. One day someone who was really excited about the Gospel decided to stop learning and it racked my soul. I felt as if I was ruining people’s opportunity to hear. One day as we were driving to our home, I spoke to my companion and told him that I didn’t know the church was true. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I then asked if he would share with me his testimony, or how he knew it was true, to check if I had had similar experiences as him. We arrived home and I went into a separate room and said a prayer asking God to reveal to me if Joseph Smith and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. My missionary companion then shared his testimony. As he shared his testimony I felt this amazing, inexpressible power come over me. I had felt nothing so powerful and wonderful before. I was in a state of absolute peace, I felt full of light and joy. I know for myself that God has restored his church on the Earth. It’s a simple experiment try it. Read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it’s true. Then wait as God shows you evidence of the truth.

How I live my faith

I go to church each week trying to find someone who needs the smile on their face that day!!!

What is the Book of Mormon?

Kyle
The Book of Mormon is evidence. Its evidence that God speaks to man in our day just as in the days of old. We believe that Joseph Smith translated ancient plates by the power of God. When God reveals to you that the Book of Mormon is true that means it's origin is true. That Joseph was an honest man. The Book of Mormon is evidence that when he spoke of his vision of seeing God, and Jesus Christ, he was telling the truth. It's evidence that the same church Jesus Christ established is back on the earth today. Pray and ask God. If you pray with a sincere heart, with real-intent, and having Faith in Christ God will show the truth of the Book of Mormon unto you. Show more Show less
