Hi I'm Timothy MacPherson

I have a wonderful family, work as a project professional, and love to play tennis and travel. I'm thankful to be a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife from Brazil and two precious daughters. I work as a project development advisor for a major oil company. I enjoy learning other languages, traveling, reading, and composing for piano. I'm a tennis and mountain biking enthusiast. I'm happiest when I can do things with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that we have a Heavenly Father and that Jesus Christ is His Son and our Savior. Through numerous life experiences I have learned that true happiness comes from following the example of the Savior in all things. I recognize the hand of the Lord in my life and have countless blessings to be thankful for. I know the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price are true scripture. It follows that I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he was an instrument in the hands of God to restore the true Church of Jesus Christ. The truthfulness of these things is reconfirmed to me each Sunday that I go to Church and in many other ways. That's why I am a Mormon :)

How I live my faith

I had the opportunity as a young man to serve a mission for the Church in Uruguay, South America. That experience had a great and positive impact on my life. I try my best to be a friend to all and to help serve others. I currently help oversee an early-morning seminary program for youth that is staffed by over a dozen wonderful teachers who sacrifice their time (and sleep!) to teach the youth and help strengthen their testimonies about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings that come from righteous living. I try my best to be a better person today than I was yesterday. I don't always succeed but I haven't given up trying. I'm thankful for my family, friends, fellow Church members and my Heavenly Father for their understanding and support in this continuous endeavor.
