Hi I'm Kate

I'm from Nevada, love to Rock Climb and Creek Hike with my dogs, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have an awesome husband, and a new son. I graduated from UNLV a few years ago with a degree in kinesiology. I converted to the LDS church a few years ago, and most of my family are not members. I love to play outdoors and go on adventures with my family, friends, and dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church because of the peace and understanding it brings to my life, and to my surroundings. I have come to know my living Father in Heaven and his beloved son, Jesus Christ. I know His eternal plan for his children, and that we can live in glory with our Father and our families forever. This church has shown me a goal to aim for, and taught me what happens after death so I can live my life now in a more productive and wholesome way. Although it is difficult at times, if I follow the commandments, I can make it home to live with them again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings weekly, at church I work in the primary (ages 3-12). Although at times it's nerve racking and I don't know what I'm doing, those kids teach me so much with their simple testimonies. I also love to go to the temple and just sit on the grounds and in the building and ponder the blessings of the lord and tough questions that I'm experiencing, so much peace and knowledge come from attending the temple regularly. I have also developed great friendships with my visiting teachers (people who come to my house to share gospel messages, help out, and basically just be there if I need anything) we go running, hiking, and have dinners together. It is wonderful to have friends who are such good examples.
