Hi I'm Jeremy

I am studying mechanical engineering, I invented a device to rapidly fill water balloons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student in the graduate program studying Mechanical Engineering. This past year I was involved in a project that uses my engineering skills to help improve the lives of the people in Peru. I also helped design, build and operate a robot for an international competition this past summer as well as the previous two summers. I married the girl of my dreams and we enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and camping,as well as attending church together and serving people any way we can. We recently had a baby girl, and although we are a little more sleep deprived she brings us so much joy. I enjoy meeting new people and talking with people wherever I can.

Why I am a Mormon

To put it simply I have seen the blessings and joy that has come into my life since I have started and continued to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born in a good home where I was taught who Jesus Christ is and what his gospel is. It was not until I acted on that belief and prayed, and read the scriptures, and served those around me that I came to know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know because I have read the bible and the book of Mormon and through sincere prayer I know that they both are the word of God. because of that I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that the lord has given us a prophet today. I have had many undeniable experiences where I have felt the spirit testify to my heart that the Lord loves me, that His church is restored, and what I can do to help His children. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My wife and I love attending church together every week. It is a time for us to be reminded what the savior did for us and how we want to live our lives better because of that. A friend and I are assigned a few families to visit every month and I enjoy getting to know them, and making sure their needs are being met. I have a goal to look every day for some small way to help those around me, whether it is with helping someone with homework, or even just smiling and saying hello, it's amazing what a small gesture of kindness can do for someone's day. my wife and I are trying to reach out to the homeless and educate them about resources that might be able to help them such as soup kitchens and shelters in the local area.
