Hi I'm Megan

I grew up on a ranch in California. I attended school in Utah and Minnesota. I love to hike and read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the middle of an orchard where my family grows citrus and avocados for a living. I've always loved the fresh air and being outside. After leaving California, I attended college at BYU and graduate school at the University of Minnesota. I enjoy hiking in the mountains, reading and writing. I'm single and come from a great family of mixed religious beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I feel peace as I live the gospel and seek to follow Jesus Christ. The gospel opens me up to beauty, light and learning. I know that Jesus Christ gave His life so that I can have hope in the good times and in the bad times in my life. The gospel also gives me hope for the next life - that I can live with my Heavenly Father and my family again after I die. The peace the gospel gives me is an inner peace. I find strength in knowing that I am a daughter of God with unlimited potential to learn and progress. The gospel helps me become my truest me!

How I live my faith

I find peace and direction in daily prayer and scripture time each morning. I feel my Heavenly Father's love for me when I'm out enjoying nature and when I'm helping other people. I enjoy attending church each Sunday at my local congregation where I teach a Sunday School class to a group of kids ages 10 and 11. As a single woman I learn a lot from the families, widows, women, children and others in my congregation.
