Hi I'm Jerianne

I was born and raised in Tennessee. I want to be a fantasy author and a stay-at-home mom. I am a convert to the church.

About Me

I am currently in college; I have received my associate's degree, moved to attend another university with my husband, and have lived in our current city for a little over two years. I have been married for four years and I still love it. I can't imagine a better way to spend life than with the person of your dreams by your side. I am currently studying English literature, linguistics, and creative writing. I dream of being an author one day and can't wait until I am able to be a mom! A few more random things about me: I am a cat person all the way. I love fantasy and science fiction. I write my own stories and am currently working towards finishing a novel-length story. I also write poetry and love to sing. I enjoy taking pictures of random things. I play video and computer games with my husband. I love board and card games. I play role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons.! I love cooking and coming up with delicious, cheap meal ideas for us. I'm always willing to try something new. I'm pretty active. I enjoy walking, hiking, and dancing. I scrapbook and crochet.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Protestant church all of my life, until I met the man that I now call my husband. He was born and raised in the church and had been a faithful member all of his life. I had a few friends, that instead of discouraging me from investigating the church, encouraged me to seek out the similarities and the truths that I agreed with. It was a long process that lasted almost two years. Throughout all my searching and attempts to deny the truth I found in the church, I was continually drawn to it. Finally, after having the missionary discussions almost three full times, I agreed to be baptized. It has been the best decision I have made in my entire life.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day with a smile. I want to be a good friend and serve those around me. I strive to live my faith in such a way that my beliefs and love for my Heavenly Father and my Savior come up in ordinary conversation. I have served in the young women's program 2 of the 3 years I've been a member. I am now serving as a young single adult teacher in my ward and am on a stake young single adult committee. In all of these callings, it is my duty to serve as a leader, role model, and teacher.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jerianne
Yes, Mormons are Christians. I can truly say that with all my heart, because I was considered a Christian before I joined the church by friends, family and acquaintances, and I considered myself a Christian as well. I haven't really changed my views or beliefs about God, Jesus, or my salvation. My understanding of God's word has only deepened during my time in the Church. My friends and family still look at me and see the faith that I have in my Savior; the only change is that my faith has grown immensely. Show more Show less
