Hi I'm Marilyn

I am an identical twin. I love the outdoors. I play the drums. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two children and six step-children. I am a 6th grade teacher in an elementary school. I love to read, hike, fly-fish, garden and be with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church as a baptized member at the age of eight. I was always active in the church, but didn't really understand much until my father died of cancer, when I was twelve years old. I decided to start reading my scriptures more and learn more about the doctrine of the church. I continued to study and gain a testimony of the gospel and eventually marriaged in the temple. I don't think I really started to feel the strength of my testimony and relationship with my Savior until I was about twenty-seven years old. It took a lot of studying and praying to get to this point. I am still learning and strengthening my testimony each day I live, as I strive to be more like Christ.

How I live my faith

I am active in my church and work with the young women in the sports program. We meet every week to play volleyball, basketball, or futsal, depending on the time of year. I also direct our Ward Choir that sings about once a month. This is a great experience to praise the Lord through music. I have had the opportunity to be able to go to Girl's Camp with the young women of the ward the past two years, and have that same opportunity this summer. I so look forward to having fun activities with these young women to learn from them and to teach them a few things I know.
