Hi I'm Tatum

I'm a shopper, reader, writer, true Arizona girl, and I LOVE to create! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I know I am a child of God because I LOVE to create! In Genesis 1:1 we read, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Just as parents pass on traits to their children, our Heavenly Father has passed on some of His traits to us. Because we are children of God, He has given each of us many blessings, gifts, talents, and abilities that are like unto His. It is our task here on Earth to nurture those traits He gave to us, and become a little better each day. In the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, the Savior teaches us that we are to recognize the talents Heavenly Father has blessed us with. Then, we are to multiply them through hard work, and sharing them with others. (Mat 25, Luke 19) I love to create! That is one of the talents Heavenly Father has given me. Following the Savior’s teaching of multiplying my talents, as well as following all of His teachings, brings me so much happiness! Because of this, I know that I am a child of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I love to hear stories about real people who make positive changes in the world. People who, through relentless work and rigorous goals, accomplish greater things for themselves and those around them. So much of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is about change. Our Savior came to this world not only to teach us, but also to Atone for our sins so that we might be able to make positive changes for ourselves. Our God sent us to this earth knowing we would be imperfect. But because He is our Father, and loves us very much, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be our perfect example and teacher. Jesus Christ’s life was dedicated to showing all of God’s children the way to live so that we might be worthy of receiving God’s Glory. Matthew 18:11 reads, “For the Son of man is come to save that which is lost and to call sinners to repentance.” Repentance means change and “a fresh view about God, about oneself, and about the world.” (Bible Dictionary, 760.) Because of Jesus Christ’s life and Atoning sacrifice I have hope that I can be a person to make a positive change in the world!

How I live my faith

Every day is an opportunity to live my faith. A cheerful hello. Saying a thoughtful prayer. A kind response. Picking up garbage on my way to anywhere. Smiling. Singing uplifting music. Reading scripture. Teaching. Sharing. Helping a friend. Helping a stranger. A quick note. Words of encouragement. Serving in the community. Speaking of Christ.
