Hi I'm Marshall

I grew up in the State of Washington. I'm a husband and a father of 5 children. I'm a United States Army physician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most exciting part of my life is my family. I love going home at the end of the day to be with my kids and my wife. I also have an awesome extended family. I grew up as one of six kids, and anytime we can all get together, or even just a few of us, life is good! We live spread out now, all over the country, but I'm thankful for the technology of today that keeps us close. The best part about my immediate and extended family is that we are a forever family! I also love my job as an Army family practice physician. Taking care of soldiers and their families is a cool experience. When I'm not hanging out with the family or busy at work, I spend my time playing with technology, being outside, working around the house, and anything sports related. Baseball is my love, but I enjoy anything competitive! I am also thankful for the two years I spent in Mexico City as a full-time missionary for my church. They truly were two of the best years of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, partly because I was born into a family that was already Mormon, but mostly, and more importantly, because I have chosen, on my own, to find out if it is true. Because of my personal study and prayers, and the experiences throughout the years as an active member, and a couple years as a full time missionary in Mexico City, my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has grown exponentially! It continues to grow every day! I know for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, so that is why I am a member today.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by daily scripture study, daily personal prayer, daily family prayer, regular temple attendance, regular church meeting attendance, but most importantly, I try to be kind and courteous to those around me and live my life as Christ would want me to live it. Also, I have been given callings (jobs or responsibilities) in my church that keep me involved in the work of The Lord here on the Earth and I strive to magnify those callings every day. One of those callings is working as a home teacher. As a home teacher, my son and I are assigned some families in our ward that we have the privilege to visit in their home each month. By doing this we are strengthening each other in the Gospel. After all, we are here on this Earth to prove ourselves and try and make it back to live with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ again some day, and we can do that best by working together, by showing love one for another. I strive to do that better and better each day. When I fall short, I get up and try to do it better the next day.
