Hi I'm Debbie

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Utah. I grew up on a farm in Idaho.

About Me

I am a wife, a mom and a grandma, and I love doing things with my family. I have been a piano teacher, a school teacher, and a secretary. Currently my hobbies are sewing toys and crafts, researching family history, and practicing Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. As I grew older and learned things for myself, I gained my own testimony of gospel principles. I am still learning new things about the gospel every day, and my faith and testimony continues to grow stronger. I love the scriptures. Right now I am studying particularly the life of our Elder Brother and Savior Jesus Christ. I know He loves us. I am trying to be like Him. I know that God, our Heavenly Father, loves us. He does hear our prayers and He answers them. This gives me hope and encouragement every day, but especially when I am experiencing something that is hard for me to deal with. I cannot imagine what life would be like without that knowledge.

How I live my faith

When my sons were young I volunteered at their schools, helping their teachers by working with students who needed extra help. At church I have been a Sunday School teacher for the youth. I have been an organist and a pianist, also a choir director. I have helped organize service projects which benefited my own community, and have participated in such things as quilting and making hygiene and school kits which were for humanitarian donations all over the world. When I have a neighbor in need I do things like take in a meal and try to give encouragement.
