Hi I'm Amber

I'm down-right awesome and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Amber. I am a college graduate, 30 and I'm serving the Lord. I never really desired to go on a full-time mission. Especially at a time in life when I wanted to focus on family and career. But I'm thankful that the Lord has guided me to where I am now - serving in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. I will be forever grateful for the lessons and expereinces that I am having right now on this mission. My life is a good one. I come from a big family of seven kids. I know, that is a full house but trust me when i say i wouldn't have it any other way. We traveled quite a bit when I was younger because my father was in the air force. From this, I grew a great love for traveling and learning about culture and history. When my father retired, we moved to Idaho and that is where I stayed for a loooong time. Traveling is a love in my life. I hope to see and go everywhere. Besides travel and family, I spend my time baking and cake decorating. I love geneology, watching old movies and cartoons, riding my motorcycle, card games, hiking, jogging, reading, photography, scrapbooking, and this may sound weird but organizing and cleaning. I enjoy doing things that make me laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is true. I was born into a family that has been Mormons since the beginning. I came to know for myself that it was true when i read the Book of Mormon in it's entirity and prayed. This is a wonderful church and it has all the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by continually trying to keep Christ in my thoughts. I let his example influence all my interactions. I must say I'm not always successful but time after time I partake in my Savior's atonement which allows be to keep on trying. "Relief Society" is the name of the women's organization of the church. Every women is a part of this organization. In my ward, I am a counselor in the presidency of the Relief Society. Some of my responsibilities would be to help plan and execute the activities for all the women in the ward. We plan activates that promote things like self-reliance, education, service, and preparation for home and family.
