Hi I'm Jon

I grew up in Alberta, Canada. I'm a husband, father, and engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and grew up in Alberta, Canada. In my youth I participated in many sports ranging from hockey to badminton, though my favorite is volleyball. I also spent a large amount of time skateboarding and snowboarding. I love learning new tricks. I haven't been able to spend as much time on a board now that I'm married and a father of two beautiful boys. I'm a student studying chemical engineering. I love to read.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I continue to follow the gospel is because I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father appeared to Joseph Smith. I know he was called of God to restore the fullness of the gospel that Christ taught when he was on the earth. I know that we are lead by a prophet today. I know that peace and joy can be found by living the principles of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I feel a great responsibility to teach my young boy about the gospel. My wife and I pray with him often even though he can't talk or hold still for very long. At church I serve as a clerk. I help keep track of the members who move into and out of the neighborhood. I visit four families at least once every month to share a message about the gospel. By getting to know the families better I'm better able to help them or find help for them if they are in need.
