Hi I'm Brian

I am a full time college student, full time employee, full time father and I'm a full time Mormon.

About Me

I work full time and I go to school full time which means I don't have many "active" hobbies. I like to think of myself as someone who goes snow shoeing, and hiking etc. but these things only happens a couple times a season. I also like to think of myself as someone who goes geode hunting, spends his free time in a carpentry shop making new things, or some other fun activity. But these things don't happen all that often either, though the do occasionally make it into my schedule somehow; mostly I get done with work and school and there is just enough time to relax and read for an hour or watch a short show with my wife and new born son before I need to go to bed again.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I had some wonderful friends in high school that helped me see the light of day. They invited me to come to seminary with them, which I only did because it got me out of school for an hour each day. Little did I expect it to have such an impact on my life. One of my teachers talked about his family and how wonderful it was to be married and have a house full of kids and I thought "your crazy man, happiness is a nice big house with lots of money to play with". His confidence shook me though, and I started to wonder if maybe I didn't have things lined up as nicely as I thought. I started to read the book of Mormon and I prayed to know if it was true. God answered my prayer, I felt in my heart that chasing after money and a big house wouldn't bring me lasting peace and happiness, but living the gospel and raising a family would. I have gone forth from that time trying to live Jesus' teachings and when I look down at my little new born boy I know that I made the right decision.

How I live my faith

I now work as a member missionary in my home ward. I get to talk to my neighbors and be a friend to anyone I can. I like what I do because I think that is what the savior did when he was here on earth. I make sure that the people around me know who we are and how they can learn more about the LDS church if they are interested.
