Hi I'm Grant

United States westerner born and raised, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm an engineer during the day but outside of work I love to play in the outdoors. Camping and offroading (either on a four-wheeler or pickup) are among my favorite activities but a good game of racquetball might be able to keep me inside. I have a great wife and adorable children (3) that I share the majority of my time with. Thankfully, they like outside too.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. Having always been taught about the Church I grew up believing it was true. After reading the Book of Mormon completely from cover to cover when I was 14 I decided to follow the promise found in its pages and pray to ask Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is a true book. I felt in that moment of prayer that the Book was correct and I felt a sweet, peaceful feeling that told me that the things I had grown up believing were correct and true and that the Church was indeed Christ's church on the earth today. This knowledge has been so important to me in my life. I frequently feel the Spirit touching my life and confirming the truths that I read in the scriptures and hear in His Church.

How I live my faith

I get to volunteer as an assistant scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Grant
Wards, stakes, and branches are organized congregations of members of the church. These are divided by geographical boundaries and those who live within those boundaries are members of that ward, stake, or branch. The designation is determined by the number of Latter-day Saints in that area. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Grant
Wonderful! My wife happens to be a Mormon and she is very special to me. I believe she reflects part of what Mormon women are like. She is very loving and intelligent. I love the mother she is to our children. We absolutely believe in the equality of men and women and that there are divinely appointed, equally important, roles for each. Show more Show less
