Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a college student studying accounting. I'm a chef. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and attended college at Brigham Young University. I graduated in April 2011 with my Master's and Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I met my husband while at school, and we have been married for since July 2009. We moved after graduation to Orange County, CA and started jobs at a public accounting firm. In my free time I love to cook and bake, watch sports with my husband, and vacation with my family. I am going to take up sewing in the next couple of months.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born a member of the Church. Ever since I can remember, I have been taught to say my prayers, read my scriptures, and spend time with my family. Living the gospel has always been easy for me and I have always known that the Church is true. I like to think of it as a gift I have been given from my Heavenly Father. I feel the power of the Spirit in my life each day and I know when I am living worthily I can have its influence in my life. I know I have a Heavenly Father who knows me individually. I know he cares about every little concern or worry that I have. I know I have a Savior who sacrificed His life for me so I can one day return to live with Him. I am so grateful to be a member of the true Church and my knowledge of its truth is what gets me through each and every day.

How I live my faith

One of the main ways that I am able to live my faith is to attend my Church meetings every week. I come to church ready to learn - with an open heart and mind. I know there are many things I need to be better at and I feel that attending church helps me become better in many of those ways. I also live my faith by being an example to those that are around me. I believe that I have been blessed in my life by living the gospel and I want others to see how they can be blessed, too. A big part of our Church is looking after and caring for those that we live around. We are assigned to be "visiting teachers" to two women in our area, and we are responsible for their well-being. I currently serve in the Church as a supervisor over a few of these visiting teachers. It is my responsibility to make sure the women in our area are being taken care of and visited often.
